K-42 L-shaped kitchen with light upper cabinets and dark blue fronts

The K-42 kitchen is a modern L-shaped model with a striking contrast between light cream-beige upper cabinets and rich dark blue lower fronts. The tall units on the right are finished in the same deep blue shade, creating a bold vertical accent that visually completes the furniture composition.

The key design feature of the K-42 is the combination of a light upper section and a richer, darker base. The cream-beige cabinets make the upper tier look lighter, while the dark blue base adds depth and a contemporary character to the interior.

On the right, an open vertical shelving system is integrated between the tall cabinet units. It lets you combine closed storage with open display space for dishes, decorative objects, and accessories.

The very dark countertop creates a crisp horizontal line and contrasts with the light kitchen backsplash. The backsplash has a vertical ribbed texture that adds visual rhythm to the interior while keeping the overall look calm and neutral.

The black faucet and built-in appliances echo the dark details of the composition.

Layout and dimensions

The K-42 has an L-shaped configuration. The cabinetry runs along two adjoining walls, making full use of the corner space and distributing work surfaces, storage, and built-in appliances across several functional zones.

The total length of the kitchen is 4.8 linear meters. The overall dimensions of the standard composition are 4.8 × 2.4 × 0.6 m.

In the visualization, the work run continues into the corner section, while tall cabinets with a built-in oven and open storage stand on the right. This layout brings the work surfaces and the tall cabinet block together in a single composition.

The K-42 has spaces planned in advance for built-in appliances; which appliances go where is decided during the design stage, taking utility connections into account. The cost of the appliances themselves is not included in the furniture price.

A separate kitchen island is not included in the standard K-42 configuration.

Front materials and finishes

The upper and lower fronts are made of laminated chipboard. The upper cabinets come in a light cream-beige shade, while the lower fronts and the tall units on the right are dark blue.

The kitchen carcass is made of 18 mm laminated chipboard.

The countertop is chipboard-based; in the visualization it has a very dark, almost black decor.

Hardware and storage systems

The standard K-42 configuration includes a cargo pull-out that provides additional storage for groceries and kitchen essentials.

Hinged fronts are fitted with Hettich hinges with soft-close mechanisms.

Drawers run on Quadro Hettich concealed undermount slides. This design hides the slides beneath the drawers and keeps the interior of the cabinets looking neat.

Cabinet handles are included in the standard configuration.

Lift-up mechanisms are not included.

Additional features shown in the visualization: Dark blue tall units on the right, open vertical shelving, light textured backsplash, very dark countertop, black faucet, and built-in oven.

We will adapt the K-42 to your kitchen: the side lengths, the placement of the tall units, the front colors, the countertop, and the hardware are all up to you.
