Example of an interior design project for a compact 3-room apartment of 47 m²

A story by DUMSKAYA DESIGN (Warsaw, Poland)A client came to our studio with a challenging task — to create a functional interior for a young family in a space of just 47 m². The layout had to include a living room combined with a kitchen, a comfortable bathroom, a spacious children’s room with a study area, and a cozy bedroom.We developed an open-plan concept where the kitchen and living room blend into one bright, inviting space — perfect for family life and entertaining guests. The bathroom was strategically placed for easy access from all rooms. In the children's room, we designed a cozy space for sleep, play, and study, using multifunctional furniture and smart storage solutions. The balcony was integrated into the living area to maximize usable space.The parents' bedroom, though compact, feels cozy and private thanks to smart zoning and a carefully selected color palette.DUMSKAYA DESIGN successfully turned 47 m² into a stylish, comfortable, and highly functional home tailored to the needs of a modern family.
